Antique Japanese 18th c Edo Scroll [Kano Baisho Nihonga Landscape Painting

About the Item

This is a ``Rising Sun and Pine Tree'' drawn by Kano Baisho. It is an item with a solemn taste and presence, and I think it would be a good idea to display it at New Year's, the first kettle, or other auspicious occasions. [Kano Baisho] 1728-1807.   An artist of the Fukagawa Mizuba Kano family, a branch of the Yamashita Kano family, the front painters of the Tokugawa shogunate. Like his father, Umeharu Kyokunobu, he served the government of the shogunate, but for some reason he was exterminated by other Kano families for about 30 years from around 1763, and his name was changed to Fujiwara Tamamoto and he moved to the Chuetsu region. He traveled around and produced works. In 1793, a reconciliation was reached with his family, and the following year he served as official official. ■Silk book, handpainted ■Condition:   There is some discoloration due to the age. ■Dimensions   Axis dimensions: approx. 175.0cm x approx. 42.5cm.
